don't shave it, during your interview, casually mention that you're normally clean shaving and you're growing your goatee for a charity stunt. this will let you keep your goats a*se and you're potential employers will think you're a wonderful man * +

shave it man, I had really long hair, and a huge goatee, and I couldn't get a job anymore, then when I cut my hair short, and stuff I easily got one.. grew it back now * +
