Think about it this way: look at the last batman movie before Christopher Nolan came into the picture? Yes, really bad and s@!y Batman and Robin. It was a joke. They cant make another fantasy Batman when the last one flopped, so a change was needed. Its for the better and in terms of what todays audience considers to be good fantasy-even in comic book movies- its gotta be believable, hence Nolans Batman. * +

Have you played Arkham Asylum and Arkham City? All the fantasy elements are there but it still manages to be dark and gritty. So you saying that the movies have to be real is complete bs. Theres no reason the movies cant be the same. * +
