No, not the film. the book with no relation to the film. This book is the most gripping read ever. The book reads 'when the end of the world comes, do you want to be the first to go or the last to survive?'the story tells of a crew of men and women on a derelict rig in Alaska, waiting for their next cycle to end and the boat to take them all home, each person took the job to escape something * +

My opinion? Anything with a doomsday scenario interests me and this is no exception. In a nut shell, its another zombie themed story but scratch the surface and it's so much more, creative, deep, shocking and with several small twists and surprises. I haven't put this down. Already halfway through after buying it in a couple of days which is good for me * +

The setting is great. You think they would be safe. The characters are interesting and the infected is where it really shines. The nature of the infection shows that it cant be man made. Would love to see this turned into a film with care and attention would be gripping. Asda are selling it for 4 quid. Best read i've had in ages * +

fk this story is good. Its pretty funny in some places. I'm now 3 quarters in. Crew are dropping like flies but the most interesting thing is the infection and how it affects people. One part where they find a cruiseliner full of infected, one woman who caught the virus is sat playing blackjack with the others whilst hundreds of infected wander around. Dark, intriguing, funny, tense n addicting * +

Just finished the last few chapters. Slightly textbook ending, could chuck a sequel on but i think that'd ruin it. You never learn where the infection come from so a prequel set along the same timeline would work. Great book. * +
