I am legend. Terrible. Alternate ending chintzy, but anything is better. So.....its her fault that he died and yet he cant just pull the pin and roll the grenade as he crouches in the little door of the cubby whole which i presume would have no oxygen left either as soon as the explosion rips through the whole bas*ment and burns everything in a massive fireball. Of course not. Next! * +

The alternate ending seems a fair bit better because it further reinforces the idea that although infected a chunk of their humanity is still preserved. I actually think that the aversion of happy endings by critics for hollywood forced the editor into such a terrible end for the main character when genuinely a happier endng would have suited the film better *
