In the first star wars obi wan was the last Jedi on the light side . The others were not invented yet . And Luke did not become a full fledged jedi till much later . So , untill the next movie obi wan was the last jedi . And spielberg did actually consider that title . And he did write a book on the creation process for star wars . And yes , I have read it . It was part of my advanced comp class . *
