he did snap out of it while he is sitting on the steps with the shrink or chuck he isnt crazy he only pretends to be becoz he knows they will kill him and its the only way he can escape the burden of knowing his wife was mentally ill and didnt help her and therefore lost her and his children. it was the only way to set himself free. * +
