No it's not coming back. i just wanted to make a post remembering the classic sci fi comedy. lister-the last slob of a human. rimmer-a hologram of his cowardly dead bunk mate aka smeghead. cat-a lifeform who evolved from listers cat and kryten-the ships android aka novelty condom head. stuck 3 million years into deep space with a cr*p computer holly to guide them. * +

The show officially finished last year with a one off special split into 3 parts called back to earth in which the hologram of a former science officer creates a gateway back to earth only to find they are stars in a tv sitcom red else. altho the show ended on season 6 when they encounter themselves from 30 years in the future and are destroyed. series 7 and 8 were terrible. especially 8 * +

In the early 90s an american version of red dwarf was commissioned. the pilot episode was 75 percent similar to ours except they had kryten from day one who was even played by our own robert llewylin. unfortunately he was the only funny thing about the show and i don't think it lasted long * +

back to earth wasn't that bad but series 8 when they arrive back on red dwarf is pathetic. the best series are 3,4,5 and 6 easily. i've just bought series 3 byte 2 for 20p lol. * +
