...reportably pitched a killer script to fox after they were adamant nobody else should undertake this role.as the plot is still unknown i'm not entirely sure how its gonna work as Alien saw the first signs of it.either way with scott in the driving seat its gonna be one awesome ride * +

No news on sigourney weaver's return but expect a whole new cast.apparantaly carl schinz was attached to direct but was cast aside when scott himself agreed to remake it.the first film 'Alien' told the story of a ship recieving a distress call from A planet.upon investigation they discover the call was infact a warning of a hostile alien race who implant their hosts with eggs via a face hugger * +

The sequel released a few years later saw sigourney weaver as the only survivor persuaded to travel back to the planet with a group of marines.if your in my age span then you'll agree that this was one of the most kick as* films ever next to terminator and predator(later they would merge the two franchises together with horrific results...and i dont just mean on screen.once again the film... * +

...ended with weaver as the sole survivor..however this is not revealed until the 3rd installment was released..alien 3 opens on an all male prison planet called LV-411. Weaver's escape ship is hijacked by a lone facehugger and crash lands and the impact kills Newt and Hicks(the two fellow survivors) and severely damaging Bishop(the synthetic android) weaver is shaven bald due to a lice... * +

...infestation on the planet.this film see's two aliens.the first is born via a dog in the beginning and the second is discovered inside weaver after she begins to experience pains.a good film see's weaver and the prisoners in a race against time to destroy the alien. No weapons in this film sadly but it gave it a chance to go back to its roots.the tense chasing scenes and scares...this is.. * +

...where most people thought the film should've been laid to rest with weaver jumping into a vat of molten steel after learning the corporation wanted the alien for a weapon. thus killing her and the newborn alien that explodes from her chest as she jumps.this ending never left a doorway for a fourth installement but it came in the form of alien ressurerection.this film lost the plot badly... * +

...but was saved because it had guns lol.clearly inspired by aliens.this film see's weaver's character return.however she is a clone of herself.samples gathered from the prison planet of the last film and 240 years later weaver is back but stronger and built with alien dna.but there is also a more powerful alien thrown into the mix.plenty of gunplay and a solid role by hellboy's main star.. * +
