yes. firstly you have to be able to act,not read lines from a book but ACT. then try applying for parts in commercials and plays until you find yourself an agent and the agent wil take it from there. oh and you may need a drama degree or whatever they're called * +

Some towns have amateur drama companys or acting classes! Find out if theres anythin like that in ur area would be a good start! * +

I agree. Have put up with acting students in college and they were obnoxious. Self absorbed. Precious and rude in a clueless unaware anyone else exists kind of way. I thought maybe it was because they were young but having since worked on theatre and film and tv sets i found most actors to have the same attitude. Interesting. Must be something about acting that draws that kind of maladjusted * +
