I dunno what film you guys were watching, but cloverfield is a quality piece of filmmaking. ..perhaps because it required a modest amount of attention and appreciation it passed you by? Not your typical brain dead hollywood movie, coz its different and original people don't like it. ..makes me laugh. Lol. * +
