Hi ok i undid 4 tiny tiny screws then pulled and twisted and pulled again and finally it came apart almost loosing a few lil b*ttons from the top. Ok that done i took the strip with the joystick in now where do i put the oil? On the strip or on the actual black b*tton attached to the phone in a square box. Reason i'm asking is aint the oil gonna mess up the connections inside? * +

Take the keypad off, then remove the joystick cap (the silver thing you stick your finger on to move it lol), the best thing to do is not put oil on it, but to just leave the cap off and fiddle around circling it around for 10 mins 15 and then put it all back together, remember to WATCH out for the power b*tton when putting it all back together, coz it can get fidely especially that b*tton lol. * +

the connections are under the semi-sealed unit. what happens is when u move the joystick, part wears away, the residue gets mixed with dust etc. this restricts the movement of the joystick. the oil lubricates the inside. use engine or chain oil, but only a drop. it will only affect components if it burns. no components in a phone get remotely hot enough. moving the stick around loosens it and will improve for a short period. *
