YA DONT GET FULL MEM ON CARDS DUE TO IF YA WANNA SHIFT FILES OFF IT HAS THE EFFICIANT SPACE 2 DO SO AND ALSO SOME MEM CARDS HAVE HIDDEN FILES ON THEN LIKE SAMPLE FILES.USUALLY THEY R SMALL FILES THO....THINK OF THE EXTRA SPACE YA LOSE IS LIKE MEGA BITE RAM OK DONT WORRY ITS NOT A GLITCH. * +

no trey ur wrong theres 1028kb in a megabyte but sometimes a mb is measured as 1000kb so if u take 28kb off every mb on ur card u end up with less space * +

Your right to a certain extent, its also how the cards are formated, different size cards are formated different some with 32, 16, 8, 1kb's per block, it drop's alot because of that, small cards are formated in 1 per block so you'll probably get the memory it says on the tin, but bigger card are formated with more byte's per block, the more byte's per block the more memory is taken away (or is it). * +

Have you ever noticed while download it from at site that say's a file is 200kb's and when the download starts the phone will say its something its more... Its like if your card is formated in 32kb's a block and you download a 2kb file, then 2kb's take up 1 whole block which is 32kb's so thats a waste of 30kb's if you see where im going with this... The thing is most card can only be formated in certain ways so there's no way to retrive it sad *
