It may actually be the computer and not the phone or software, the software has been sorted for Windows Vista on latest disc to phone software, try restarting your computer sometime's helps if it still does it them try uninstalling the disk if still no luck download latest disk to phone software from www.sonyericsson.com and if still no luck your windows probably needs reinstalled * +

When i plug in my w850 my pc installed 5 or more drivers and i remember two modem drivers being installed last.drivers already installed? Forget the cd and create a connection profile *
