I had this problem using my Vodafone branded w800i with my T Mobile simcard, i had to open up the mobile networking wizard and manualy edit the apn to the one in my phone, which can be found by navigating through the phones settings to connectivity down to data accounts then right softkey and select account info (i think thats how you find it anyway lol), hope that helps you mate * +
