I have an ericsson k750i but i'm one of these many people who wont shell out for a new one.the most common problem I've had with ericssons is the joystick ceasing up on me.how can i get my phone repaired or do you just think it'll be better to buy new?i want a new cover and joystick repair.I've heard joystick repairs cost 20 pound and would take a week to fix.looking for quicker solutions please *

This is for the w800i but should be the same since they basicly the same phone, its due to the rubber housing being warped, carefully take the front case off the phone without cracking it, then look for the keypad connector it should be next to the camera b*tton, gently take off the keypad (DO NOT BEND THE PINS ON THE CONNECTOR) then you will have exposed the joystick, slide a BLUNT object under it (BE CAREFULL NOT TO DAMAGE THE RUBBER HOUSING) *

Once you'v popped the plastic joystick off you'll notice the rubber housing im talking about, it should reshape itself but it maybe a good idea to fiddle with it a little, just circle it about a bit and leave the phone in bits for a while 10/15 minutes maybe to make sure its completly reshaped, then clip the joystick cover back on and put the phone back together and now it should feel and respond like it did when you first purchased the phone *

(REMEMBER) thats for the w800i so it maybe a little different to the k750i, oh and i found the best way to get the w800i front case off is to unscrew the 2 screws where the battery is and stick my thumb in the memory card slot and gently pop the corner free and slide my finger nail around the case untill its released :) *
