If you go for high bitrates, it doesn't really matter. For lower bitrates (128kbs), aac gives better quallity. But, don't go too low as some encoders automaticly switches to HE-AAC that some phones do not fully support. For Nero AAC Encoder, its q0.31 or 86 kbs. Use -lc switch * +

Aac sounds better than mp3 it has been proven but the reality is that when you listening on your phone you can't tell much difference *
