W42s? Sounds to me like one of the Japanese exclusive SEs. Try right * left left * left * in stand by, that should take you to the Service Menu, if that doesnt work you'l have to either find a Japanese SE Forum lol, or try find sum1 at Esato.com or HowardForums.com with a Japanese SE. *

Try *,hash,06,hash it works in almost every phone. Otherwise try right,*,left,left,*,left,*,* then go to configuration. *
