Despite the age of this phone the display is bright and very colourfull, infact its excellent. It actually looks better than my K800i screen cos i have compared the 2 side by side. So iam going to declare that this model has at least one of the best displays ever made by sony ericsson. Despite the fact that newer models have higher resolution the W810i still manages to look better. Great phone. * +

Its because it has higher contrast,brightness n great distribution of colors no matter what the res. is. But other se phones r of same quality too. * +

Other se phones are of the same quality? Close but not as good as the W810i! Iam blessed with great eyesight close up and i can tell the differance between the displays of different models and often without even having them side by side to compare. Although i admitt i do notice things that a lot of people can miss on a Lcd display. * +

Maybe manufactorers should quote contrast ratios in the specs like they do with pc LCD Monitors and LCD TVs. * +

Its no good having 16 million colours if you have below parr contrast levels. Infact iam inclined to think brightness and high contrast are what makes a good display. * +

There is obviously a limit to what anyones eyes can see and iam willing to bet that most people wouldnt notice if one screen was higher resolution than another. But they would notice strong colour reproduction and brightness. * +
