Yes there's a code but only worked on older nokia. but when you use it you should make sure you charge it b4 it dies again or that would be the end of your phone.don't use it unless its SOS,And don't work on any SE. * +

@kut, thats not exactly a code or trick, there some phones (3G phones and only 1 i can think of), that have a choice of being 2G or 3G, and it was around the time 3G just came out, so not all networks added 3G support, people noticed 2G dont use as much power (even if your not in 3G coverage your phone still try to pick it up which still use power). * +

And that code your talking about was to switch between 2G and 3G as the phone itself didnt have the option to switch between the 2 as the technology couldn't do it at the time, but as i said, it was when 3G first come out and only 1 or 2 old models, but all new models can switch 3G off in the settings and dont need codes or GDSF scripts. * +

No mate. I know what you talk about,but that's not what i ment. Option you're talking about was also possible during transition from gsm to gprs. I distinctly remember that you could switch between half save codec and full or enhanced one. But i agree that is no trick or code for a phone. It was just an option networks provided in time when old batterys were actual and it worked for old nokias. * +
