I've got a w810i and since yesterday every time i plug it in to charge it says'charging alien battery'. Does anyone know what this means?

Yeah me also but sumtimes th problem persists even wen i remove battery. It doesnt seem 2 harm th phone or battery. It jus makes th battery icon very erratic. Th battery can last a full day while icon indicates empty.lol * +

I think its just th battery gets detected wrongly n since its not recognised it don get charged properly. * +

Yup,there were couple themes on that subject. Sometimes electric on charger or in battery doesn't work properly or the contacts get dirty. Result is fluctation of voltage and amperage on phone battery input,so it detect a different type of battery than default. You can try taking out your battery,unplugging your charger etc,but even if it stil sees it as alien battery,it is not a big problem. * +

Yeah n wid charger i usually get optimised charging but wid usb cable 2 laptop which is wer it usually charges it jus says charging widout optimised. * +

Thanks for your help people,i took it out and cleaned the contacts and now its fine.
