Depends on the phone and how it was first patched.... basicly if the phone is a DB2010 then you can apply a new patch without needing to reapply the old (it will stay patched), but if the phone is a DB2020, if you applied the QA (quick access) patch then you can patch as you do with DB2010 using QA breakin (use QAMaker to make the QA patch for your FW) * +

If you forgot to apply the QA patch then next time you try to apply a patch it will cripple the Main and you'll need to Flash which means you'll loose the all patch's. * +

A patch is well a patch just like patch's on PC, they alter the phones FW and make the phone do things it wasent originally designed to do, like recording in mp4 instead of 3gp, stuff like that * +
