Flash basicly means a full reinstall of the phone's software... Sure ill help, i notice your profile says UK, is that where you live (helps decide which firmware files you need, UK equals Generic HN main firmware file with a Europe 2 FS firmware file), do you have the Snoy Ericsson USB Flash Driver installed? * +

If yes connect your phone to XS++ and look for where is says Erom in the information it spits out, it should have a number next to it either 49 or 50, then look for its colour, it can only say Red or Brown. * +

My w810i Erom says 49 which means i need a Cid49 firmware, and its colour is Red, so the firmware i use looks something like this... W810_R1EK031_GENERIC_HN_RED49 (thats the main firmware file), and W810_R1EK031_EUROPE2_FS_RED49 (thats my FS firmware file), did you understand that... * +

R1EK031 is just the firmware version, that will change depending on which firmware you install but should match in Main and FS files in most cases (R1DB001 is the latest W810 firmware i think), the RED should ALWAYS be whatever your phone is, if your phone has a Brown Erom then you MUST use brown firmware, the 49 is your Erom's Cid number, this should always match your phone's Erom number (Cid49). * +

Ok there's a little taster of how you choose which firmware is compatible with your phone the next thing to do is stick it in the phone... We start XS++ and press connect, follow the on screen instructions given to you by XS (sim card and memory card should NOT be in the phone), once you'v connected you have 3 boxes you can mark. * +

Mark the ones that says MAIN and browse to the main Firmware file, in my case its W810_R1EK031_GENERIC_HN_RED49, then mark the second tab FS and direct it to the other firmware file, we also need to do whats called customize the phone (3rd tab), Mark the Customize tab and a few other options appear, you should leave phone model set to W810. * +
