I've read all over that my phone is meant to be really fast on 3g. But mine's no faster than a nokia 6230. Have i got 3g in my phone? My profiles are orange gprs, orange gprs internet and orange mms, how do i turn it onto 3g? Or rather can I? Are the settings around anywhere? * +

Yes ur phone is 3g maybe ur network does not have 3g coverage in your area or not at all call customer care and ask * +

Lol i'm in newcastle, i a55 ume a big city like this will have 3g. I've been through all the settings and it's just baffling me. Ringing customer services will only make it worse. Having to speak so slowwwly to an indian for 3 hours isn't top of my wish list. But thanks anyhow. * +

I had this problem with my k800i usin 02 3G it was slow even my w810i using GPRS on orange was faster.havnt tried k8 on orange 3G yet u should have box next to ur signal bar with blue circles in it.also if it isnt turn dual mode on. * +

Also is ur orange sim 3G n activated?it runs off ur standard settings. * +

Also try go to your settings mobile networks gsm 3g networks make sure you hav it set on gsm 3g * +

Cheers lads, just remembered it's a 3g phone with my old 2g sim in so that's probably it :) i'll attempt to get some sense out of orange customer services tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up lads * +
