Vodacom can fix it its just he probably did not buy the phone from them if its a vodacom phone they will either fix it or replace it * +

More specific about the rebooting, i dont think a flash will fix it but give it a try, them try an Erom update, if that still dont work find yourself a repair shop with VERY good SEMC experience as its possibly GDSF and tricky to fix (SE service probably wont fix GDSF damaged phones). * +
