So I had my battery replaced about 2 months ago. Bb was performing good no problems. New years day I forgot it at my in-laws and could only get it back on the 4th when I tried charging it a huge battery symbol with a red x on it appeared. I tried google it says the wrong battery type is inserted or the contact points are not making proper contact or the os needs reloading. So I've reloaded os but couldn't finish giving error of jvm or something. Does anyone have any advice on how I could fix it? * +

I had that on my old BB Curve 8520. . clean battery terminals. . mine was fine afterwards - * +

Check to see if the battery terminals are not blocked, red x means there is no battery * +

Check that the copper plate on the battery terminals haven't shifted. Had that problem 3 weeks ago on my 3310. Wen the battery fell the plate moved out of place. *
