Hi I got a blackberry 9300, I did a security wipe on my phone and now I cant get my BIS working again I contacted Cell C customer service numerous times and they cant seem to help me. If I go to my Host routing table it is empty and I cant seem to register over there. They say my BIS is correct connected over on their side but still It don't work it has been off since the 30th January. Ive even tried placing another sim into my phone but the Host routing table didnt register aswell. Seems like * +

its my phone itself is there maybe a setting or something I can try on my phone self to fix it? * +

Nah, not that....go to networks, do a manual search, select 3g(H).....then register again....do that a few times, even if it shows 3g with the bis icon.......still nothing?.......toggle network on and off, it should pick up correctly after a while.....ps, the manual search is impotant for the nodes to update as well...... * +

Go to that red POWER icon on main menu and press FULL POWER OFF and turn the phone back ON again. That is to close running applications. Then on MAIN MENU go to OPTIONS then DEVICE then ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS. Then go to HOST ROUTING TABLE and REGISTER NOW and OK. And this one is very important! Don't switch the phone off but just take out the battery then push the SIM card slightly out of the way and wait for about five minutes before turning ON the phone again. That should now register your phone * +

That's because its a trick my operator once told me to try, and it works for me. If you feel this trick is not for you, go on and try your tried and tested methods and I will stick with my 'unorthodox' one * +
