maybe if you dont have an adapter you might try putting the mem card into another phone and transfer it that way maybe? * +

This is a common problem with blackberry phones......the user preset on the memory card is not passing the security check of the blackberry software, and it don't read the card partition correctly, common on chinese sd cards.....it might format or repair correctly, but when trying to playback movies on the phone, it won't read correctly from the card.....strangely, most 2 and 4gb cards work, but any higher, u need a sandisk or recognised brand, but it will work fine in other phone brands...... * +

And that is the reason u get the message of memory card not formatted, do u want to format it now?.....When I got my first bb, I lost a LOT of insurance photos due to incompatible sd card.....but I got a high density Sandisk 16gb, and all problems dissapeared.....try Matrix, they sell them for R199....... * +

I got mine for R149 from hifi corp, but these days they never have stock......but u can phone around and try to locate a proper sd card, I know its a drag, but worth it in the end...... * +

Update: after franctically running around and trying to remove and reinsert the card and trying on different pc's i found a mem card reader at work. put it in and was shocked to see everything appear fine. I immediately started to back up my stuff and all went well. afterwards i reinserted my beloved mem card in my phone and everthing showed up! i have never been so relieved. I didnt even know where i'd start getting back all my stuff esp music and pics. Now all is as spicy as aromat happy2 * +
