Yesterday my trackpad started giving problems. Unable to scroll around. It just doesn't respond. Have to try 3 or 4 times before it works again. Any ideas how to fix this myself? * +

If u don't mind opening your phone, check that the connector that plugs into the mainboard is not loose, u didn't drop the phone by any chance? The other possibility is corrupt firmware, I would check that out first...... * +

i have dropped it quite a few times yeah. i noticed that when i push down on the trackpad and hold it down for 5seconds, it works again. so probably a loose connection from a fall. but i also noted that i downloaded something big for the first time in weeks, and the phone got pretty hot. maybe also a factor? * +

Strangely mine stopped getting too hot (9810).....it gets slightly hot, no more than that.....I did a 3.2 gig download thru the night (the woman in black) without any problems.....I'm not sure about your phone, with the falling, but it might be a factor.....check the flexi-plug, then firmware...... * +

my 8520 gave same story... couldnt use the trackpad at all ! sent it in to vodacare and they replaced the phone as it was under warranty. if i had opened it i wouldve lost the warranty.... * +
