b4 u open up ur fone.. check if the transparent plastic covering d trackpad is slighty peeled.. if it is.. peel it out completely.. this works dependin on d case diff in trackpad layers sends invalid response * +

turns out it was the heat of the phone that stopped it from working. 5min after my download finished, it was back to normal and still haven't given a single prob :) * +

I replaced trackpads on 8520 n 9780... I used Youtube as a guide to opening the phones, got the screws n the trackpad from ebay... both in total were just around 3 UK pounds only. in UK some shops would charge around 25 UK pounds to replace a track pad!!! *
