Ok, I've decided to give Os7 another go......bought myself a 9810 torch, upgraded to 7.1, and I must say, after my unpleasant experience with the 9900, I am completely happy with the 9810....just wish I could see my download speed in real time.....this phone kick ass....... * +

Welcome to OS7.. i agree, kickass phone indeed. and yea no way to see speed unless you use ucweb of which unless you install one for say 9780 phone model you will have countless issues. Upgrading mine again this morning, not happy with .569, would love to hear which 7.1 you running and how long your battery lasts as thats my only issue. * +

I got the firmware from Rodgers, available on the Rim website under support.....just one little issue, it gets quite hot under the keypad when downloading.....could you direct me to the right version of ucweb for this phone? Much appreciated!....... * +

I cannot really comment on battery life yet, got the phone yesterday afternoon, but so far it seems ok to me...... * +

ironically the ucweb i got was from a link you provided ages ago, will try fish it up and post it here. thanks to bbprotect i saved my bookmarks. and yea when you download or upload it does get warm below the battery. the battery itself however will be cool. strange i know. * +

I did the upgrade immediately after unpacking this baby, so the firmware seems ok, and the battery didn't give me cause for corncern so far....... * +
