Ok... Did a search, didn't find anything. Just wanted to know, my 8gig micro sd card from my 9300 just stopped working and when I put it into the pc card reader, it shows the file but can't copy anything to it. It says write protected but its a micro sd card. It has no protection switch. Is the card cooked or can it be fixed? Thanks in advance peeps. * +

nttkd, connect your phone to pc, right click my computer, select manage, look for drives, locate card, and format it..dont use the normal format method. Remember, some Chinese sd cards is not compatible with bb devices, and gives endless errors...... * +

Why do I say format it? There is spyware on it, and u got to delete the partition as well in most cases to clean the card.....hope my babbling makes sense....... * +

you know, when I made this post, I knew either uncle ungers or raffiki was gonna be the only ones to post a reply I tried doing that too. good old google suggested I do that. still says the operation did not complete because the media is write protected.... Can't even delete the partition coz the option is low lighted.

Then the card has failed.......considering the micro-micro-micro connections and hardware inside the card, its not suprising that some cards fails unexpectedly....plus, they get mass-produced.....replacement is the only option left, seems to me.......eish!!... * +

I did mention it in a post, and not sure if there is one in Durbs, but Hifi-corp is selling 16gig Sandisk sd cards for R228......got myself one, no issues at all......but if u do get a no-name card, make sure it says HC on the side, they give the least trouble in the cheapie range...... * +

Just remembered something......put it in card reader, go to command prompt, (DOS) and type this.....format E: /u Replace E with your card drive letter if needed.....there is a space, then forwardslash then u......if this fails, the card is truly dead, and can safely be buried............the u stands for unconditional....after that, format once more normally.....good luck!...... * +
