Is there a way to recover a stolen/lost blackberry. A friend of mine lost her blackberry. a torch 9800 which was a gift from a friend. she does not have the IMEI but the has the pin. she hadnt installed an GPS apps apart from google maps that could help her locate it incase such happened. anyway to recover or locate it before she tries to block it? *

if she installed bb protect she could use their website to login and locate the whereabouts of her torch and if she so desired block it from the site as well. I tested it and located mine up to 5mtrs from its actual position. she could check the box for the imei or check with the sp the phone was last on they would've had the imei on their records. *

thanks yugan... if it was a 8520 one can easily forget about it but tilll date she still cant believe her torch is missing. DOnt think she installed bb protect though *
