Try Freemake Video Converter......it supports all formats, to and from, and as the name suggests, its free......but u need to download dotnet4.0 for it to work.......I'm using it currently, its fast and reliable.....enjoy! * +

@ungers, I installed latest freemake but it is not working... it shows opening but nothing happens, I have dotnet 4.5 , running Win 7 64 bit, any idea what might be the problem ? * +

I think I saw in a forum a while back exactly the same problem, its gotta be version 4 of dotnet, this program was written with open source in mind, to allow quick updates and updated versions. Some of the protocol was written for dotnet 4.0.....let me know if it works, and when it does, I'm sure you will find it worthwhile..... * +
