Subject: 9790 vs 9900

the only place where i was giving the 9780 credit over the 9900 is on autofocus and battery life. even with the 7.1 update the battery life of the 9900 is still not as good as the 9780 one. otherwise yes the 9900 is far superior in every other way compared to the 9780. I still would go for 9790 any given day but at the end of the day what matters most is what one will be using the phone for and if they like the form factor its in. * +

I've had the Bold 9900 with the earliest firmware where the battery was a major issue. the latest update has been a radical improvement... I actually get a full day use now... 24 hours... but yeah 9780 battery is way better. 9790 also has UMA but the 9900 don't... still though I love the size n design of the 9900... n the screen * +

for me the uma...i dnt use it at all,but all the other stuff is cool on 9900,still an awesome phone.i had to choose between the 9810 and 9900,so i chose 9810,no regrets * +

For me i'm yet to buy a BB. I was to go with 9780 but folks here advised me to wait for 9790.. been waiting and now it has arrived but its still abit too soon and too new that peeps here are asking an arm and a leg for it. Question is does one invest on an old and now dated os6 phone or dump all his cash on a 9790?? I dont fancy all these other huge phones like 9900 or 9810. 97xx all the way for me * +

I wouldn't go a 9790 because I like big screens. the 9900/9930 have beautiful sharp high resolution screens. * +
