I was googling as usual bored out of my mind when i came across what looks like a new lineup of Blackberries. They seem to be downgrading in terms of features. they are curves and only have 2MP or 3MP camera. what caught my eye is the fact that they will have FM radio. So we infact get to have blackberries for the first time ever having FM stereo. Its not wow as one can easily stream any radio station but this is one giant leap for RIM. just thought i should inform the masses. 9320 and 9220 curv * +

Lol, my mum is going to be mad, i gave her my old Nokia 5800xm to listen to radio at her office as her high end Torch9810 doesnt have FM Radio. Yeah, there isnt going to be much out of RIM until late this year when they launch BB10 and a flagship based on it. * +

and with devices being released with ever growing low specced batteries, they digging themselves out of one hole and falling into another. I dont have the patience to wait till then. I just want a decent yet modern bb that will keep me going for a few years since it wont be a contract but prepaid phone. Does anyone know if 9790 is available in SA? * +

Keep you going for a few years? You'd rather wait then for the BB10 Device, the 9790 and other OS7 BBs have a very slim chance of getting OS10. * +

well granted i wont get a new bb but for most ppl in the sub saharan part of africa we dont change phones that much we will point and ooh and aaah till we in a position to financially get one. take a 9780 it will still be relevant 2yrz down coz it still has strong points plus a stellar battery. so i reckon it will still be a contender. I'm a realist and i dont think BB10 will be revolutionary, all others have HD 720p recording as industry standard. only 9900 has tried but battery?? * +

it has been shoot and miss with RIM. 8MP cams are the standard. RIM is yet to break the 5MP barrier, sure they trying with NFC tech but good ol iphone comes and with one swoop of Siri kills BB on the spot, android has app developers hooked line and sinker. appworld.. let me not even go into that. they are trying granted but unless something revolutionary happens they will just be one step behind, always. I love BB to bits but peer pressure and exclusivity is the only thing keeping us * +

Let's say they remove the ability of bb phones to download, but only allows social networking, I will throw my berry in the dustbin, and go back to android, its been my first choice ever since it came out. * +

In my opinion, first time bb users should consider the 9780, its the best possible package, if all the pros and cons have been weighed. Long battery life, etc etc, I won't even go into that. Let's just say for now even a secondhand 9780 is worth more than a new 9900, for obvious reasons.... * +
