Looks like prices in SA for data keep falling. Neotel has a new prepaid deal where you get 24GB data PLUS free modem for R799. Out of bundle rate is 20cents per MB. One can get the whole 24gb at once or in a period of 12 months as 2gb every month. * +

8ta too has a new data deal. 60GB + 60GB for R1 800. So for that price you get a total of 120GB to use. half of it for anytime use and the other half is from midnite till 5am. No modem is bundled with this deal and sim cards must be provisioned to work on 8ta's own network. Soon enough even tethering a phone to pc/laptop will not be costly at all and will suprisingly actually be affordable and over the next 18 months prices will fall further as more undersea cables come alive. Good times * +

look it's cool and all that the prices are dropping and all but seriously, R1800 is a serious amount of money. my car costs me less than that a month * +

I get more than 60 gig a month on bb for R60 why don't they just make an entry level prepaid offer like a 1 gig promo for R50 * +

yes yes new data deals and all that stuff! but what kind of speeds are they offering? Reason I'm asking is my boss has a vodaflop usb modem and when he downloads anything the speeds start off at around 968kbs and after about 10s its downloading at 22kbs. * +
