Hi, I've got a bold 9700 as well as a Galaxy tab and I've connected both to my router at home using Wifi. Both the phone and the tab recognize the router but the bb doesnt use the wifi to download or surf the net, neither does the tab. I've changed settings on the phone to Hotspot Browser instead of Internet Browser and wen I save changes, the changes dont save and it reverts to Internet Brow * +

Internet Browser. I've tried calling my service provider for help and was put on hold for an hour on 2 different occasions so I think they just dont give a f*ck. Can anyone on here help me? * +

I'm not too sure but I think you first have to connect to your router, establish a connection and open your browser and it should automatically connect to the interwebs via wifi. * +

I did that on my bb and even tho it says ots connected to wifi, it doesnt use the wifi for downloads, still uses my mobile network. I tried turning the mobile network off and then browse and it wont let me. On my galaxy tab it says that its connected to the router but wont let me browse or download via wifi. * +

Regarding the blackberry issue, as far as i understand, Os6 does not support wifi browsing, but no problem on Os5 ?? wtf is up with rim??......... * +
