in the UK or Worldwide for that matter have any of u guys heard the 9900 or batches of 9900 had to be recalled by Blackberry due to the battery life being so poor? as I was going to upgrade to one but now possibley thinking of letting my contract finish n roll on until I see another Blackberry of interest... * +

Told ya, you cant compare the 9900 battery to the 9780 or 9700 for that matter. Sad part is OS 6 wont ever be upgraded to OS 7. And the 9900 wont see the light of day of the new upcoming BBX platform so rather wait and see if a future BB in the BBX platform catches your eye * +

I am aware of the 9900 poor battery life, in fact I wanted to get one, but the salesman was honest enough to tell me about the batt problem. Regarding recalls, I think it would happen hush hush for most part, but I didn't hear anything myself about it...but I suppose they gotta make a plan with the 9900.... * +

basically I get to upgrade 3 months early which would be end of November but if I let my contract end I believe I have more leverage to discuss a new phone contract with a 12 month deal. I don't know how its like for u guys but 12 month deals in UK are not easy to come by... * +

I personally dislike anything bought on credit/contract so i'd rather but an item cash. most contracts this side are 24yrs as well as for 12 months ones i'm yet to come across any *
