u need bis or bes which is blackberry internet either via ya contract or a bolt on, its basically like live messenger but you can only add and message other people who have blackberries * +

Blackberry messenger aka BBM as schlim says is a instant messenger. Your messages are quick, fast, unlimited n free to any blackberry contact around the world. It is like having a portable MSN, U can send files free such as pics n voice notes but the biggest thing about Blackberrys is that many A List celebs use them so thats what makes it the real buzz.
