Branches,alternate diff/gearbox,free flow exhaust,turbo/supercharger,gas flowed head,polished ports,larger valves,high/low compresion pistons,larger bore kit,shorter/longer conrods,bigger/smaller cranks haft,skimmed flywheel.Just some modifications I could think of.What do you suggest as to the right combination ? Want a high revving smooth motor with ample power on tap.To use in Escort.Thanx all. * +

Gasflowed head,bigger valves,branch and freeflow system with a nice cam (286deg at least) and a lightened flywheel. You wil of course need to upgrade feulling aswell. A 5spd trd box can only be a bonus * +

Well thats what i would do, instead of the bigger valves I would rather fit the 16v head and gasflow that on twin 45 weber's * +

Does the 16v head fit though ?.How bout twin side draught weber 40s ? Cant believe i forgot the cam.Sounds like a good combo you got there though.What bout feul injection setup if possible ? * +

My friend just fitted a 16v head to his 1600 bottom end,single split duration van der linde cam. Feul injection or even itbs would work a treat but that is a expensive mod * +

set ur top cam gear 2 1tooth advance...remembr jus 1tooth.then set ur distrbutor 2 36degrees...ur timing dat is.mus run 36dgrees...standard wud b around 12to 14.try ds...if it pinks at 36,drop it a bit.mayb becos of ur cam it myt difr. * +
