Dnt u think boring of cyclinders weaken the cylinderwalls?and another thing during c*mbustion the walls expand alittle.i believe boring of cylinders for racing a vehicle wears off after some time, dnt ya agree?.just my opinion. * +

even an unbored cylinder stil wears out after a while. * +

Depends how much u bore it.thinner cylinder walls can lead to heating probs.but u can always resleeve it and bring it back to standard if u want * +

Combustion dnt take place inside d cylinder walls. It takes place as d piston reaches tdc. Iow, d piston is in its highest position inside d sleeve. If u take a luk at a cylinder head, ul see dat wher d valves is situated u hav a bowl inside d cylinder head wich is called d combustion chamber. Thats wher combustion takes place. So d force expanded by combustion is presurised against d valves.. * +

..d lower part of d cylinder head and d piston crown. D piston again presses towards d conrod nd crank during combustion. D wear u see inside a sleeve is due to d momentum of d piston runnin inside d sleeve. If a motor runs clockwise, d upper momentum of a piston presses it against d left of a sleeve.. A tdc d piston momentum gets thrown to d rightside thus wearing d opposite side of a sleeve. * +

Thats why ul always hear an automotive engineer wil measure a sleeve fo ovalty. Coz d side to side movement of a piston causes d cylinder walls to wear oval. * +

Yes but after combustion takes place and the piston is pushed down the heat can have the piston wear out the walls since the wall would be absorbing the heat * +

Rubbish! Metal dnt absorb heat! *
