ok i need help i drove 1 day and the power of my car just went away i checked the plugs the leads the carb and fuel pump i cant find the problem that the power is going away! Now my car dies sometime when i try to start it and sometimes it backfires thru the carb when i start it does someone here know what else i can check where the problem might be * +

sometimes the power is back but for about 2 to 3 secondes and i notice the rev counter jumps or goes slowly its like the car doesnt get petrol but it does the car use more i use to get 11.2km a liter now 8.7km but the lower km can be due that i have to put my foot down on the gas so i can make it up a hill * +

Did u check ur spark leads with an multi meter for resistance? When last was the car serviced? * +

yes i did cheak them and i serviced the car 2weeks ago and a week after it happend * +

Dont know anything about fiat but the last time the mini did that the points gap closed up,fixed that then the condensor came loose and didnt earth correctly * +
