what do you guys think of msa have banned 400m drags and only allowing 200m drags 'this is only for south africa' what will this do to drag racing in SA * +

It wil mean u need 2 change gear ratios 2 suit th shorter distance n u wil need much quicker reaction time at th tree. * +

I spoke 2 sum guys, they said they aint going to spend money working their gearboxes just incase msa will change it back to 400m later on. My point is, sure it may be safer but theres sum cars that is still in wheelspin at 200m. The only good thing is that many guys now have 10sec cars. lol * +

My biggest problem is the cost involved they just basically doubled the money you wil need to make your car competitive. * +

No not really hey, having a beast of a car (thats expensive to build) will be of no use now as traction is now very important. And if u can launch extremely gud then ur almost home free. But i can predict that illegals is going to be bigger than before... and guess what, they will be running 400m * +

spoke to a few guys and it seems they are forming a new group not governed by msa the guys from speed and sound are involved and it seems they already have a drag strip the old ODI the track is being upgraded and repaired as i type this * +
