What power gains can you get from a skimmed head and how much would it cost to skim a 4 cylinder head? * +

My piston to valve clearance is 2mm so i can skim roughly 1mm * +

So what your saying is that with my 85kw's i can roughly gain 25kw's which is roughly 35 power gain. That just doesnt seem rite. But thx for your reply! * +

With only 2mm clearance, i wouldn't b taking 1mm off, at top end if u encounter ne valve bounce due 2 ne weak springs u'll b looking at big probs * +

That's quite alot,1mm,you may need to increase your fuel octane. Increased stress on the engine isnt as immediate a problem as finding your cambelt is too long. What engine is it? * +
