I have a 2001 mercedes ML320 and the power steering belt went out (due to a faulty belt clip which was recalled) as a result of this, the power steering pump has also went out. The car at the moment is unable to be driven. I contacted mercedes benz corp and they only replaced the belt and clip. So my question is, does anyone have any advice about installing a power steering pump yourself? Thanks! *

The mercedes benz dealer told me that the clip that attaches a belt to the power steering got disconnected, which is why the car is not drivable because you cant make turns with it. As a result of the belt becoming disconnected, the pump has went out as well. *
