Ive got an a2 jetta, i traveld from port elizabeth to johanesburg abt 1200km last wk, abt half way i started to drive 140kmh nd it started jerking, i changed the petrol filter and for the rest of the trip it was fine, on my way back it started again. When i got home i checked my carb and was able to turn the top screw abt half a turn, aftewards my air setting was out, i reset the air. Could that * +

Id say fuel pumps startin its coz of d heat. Vw's ignition modules just collaps nd then theyr dead as a rock. * +

What year is it? The Pierburg carbs aint great, they run better on a Weber DTML. Check the pickup pipe in the petrol tank isnt blocked,as that can happen. *
