i want one . gsxR Engine. question ? hows the gear box work ? i will have a simple up down shift right. will it have a clutch ? do u need clutch for up shifts ? if not why not ? also seen a MK INDY with a hayabussa engine . hayabussa engine vs gsxR engine pros cons? * +

hayabusa is 1300cc,gsxr is 1000 or 1100 depending on model i think. * +

Yes you stil have a clutch,its a simple up/down shift gearstick,like a bike, first gear forward ,the rest down. No you dont need clutch on upshifts accept for pull away and downshifting of course. Dont know bout other setups but thats how zcars do the mini conversions * +

sagaris cost a fortune, and running cost wont have going down that road for a long time. ok what about messing up gear changers ? what happens if your braking down and get carried away with the down shifts and drop too many gears ! is there a rev cut off system ? will the engine or blow up or worse yet will the back end lock up and overtake me

you could get a slipper clutch,alot of roadbikes are coming standard with them now like r6 and r1, in moto gp they can go from 6th gear pinned to 1st gear and full brakes,no compression lock up or over rev. * +

Off the shelf,i dunno. People have been doing some very clever things building their own cars. There's a mini which looks totally standard inside and out,because he got it in the engine bay,and cut a billet bellhousing for it. Proper gears,front drive,11k rpm. There are boxes with reverse aswell,now.Ive used bike carbs,but ive used a long stroke car engine. I dont want the power at 11k. Im happy having it at 3k. But it depends what you want. * +
