when my car is idling i can here a clicking noise at the front side most audible near the driver side front wheel.anybody have any ideas what it mite be?thanx for ur help * +

Could be the spark plug cables... Or a spark cap is not fully connected to the spark,and u can hear sparks between the cap and the block.. It could even be the valves *itting the piston. * +

is it a clicking or ticking noise? If it more like an ticking noise its ur valve lifters. They r most audible when listening at the right front wheel. Does it go away when the car is heated up? If it is the problem try changing ur engine oil to Castrol Magnatec 10W40. * +

My Volvo S40 T4 also had very noisy lifters, it ticked like an cheap chinese watch but after I changed the oil to 10W40 it run as quiet as if it was new again. * +
