well my oillight came on and i topped up the oil but it stayed on, my tappets started making a noise and i filled it again, then as i was driving white smoke started billowing out of the exhaust and then also from theengine, oil was in my exhaust..... any ideas * +

Do not overfill. Do not fill the oil above the MAX mark on the dipstick. This is imperative,and complete engine failure can result by doing so - not to mention a serious crash if you're travelling at the time. The oil light isnt just level,its pressure too. A damaged/failed oil pump will also mean total engine failure - in seconds. Action now? I dont know,get someone out to look at it,tell them everything that's happened,do not run the engine yourself. * +

haha if you over fill the car with oil the only thing thats going to happen is the oil switch will go and then the car will run to rich but all you gota do is go buy a new one for 25 bucks and put itin and off ya go again *
