have a 4 pin voltage regulator, 2 of da pins go to da battery positive, does dat sound right? is one supposed to go to negative? der's numbers also on each pin... 30, 85, 86 and 87. Help anyone? * +

Thats a relay, nt a voltage regulator. 30 is power, 85 is switch, 86 is accesories nd 87 is earth. * +

oops sorry my bad... ok so 30 goes to battery positive and 87 to earth den i got a wire from starter solenoid and ignition switch so 85 will be ignition switch and 86 will be starter solenoid? i also found dat der is a black cable from da starter solenoid dats not connected anywhere, is dat supposed to go to 87? * +

That depends wer d black cable is connected to d selonoid? Just earth 87 to d same screw the relay is fastened with. *
